RAILS 2017 Conference: Creating and Learning Together: Interdisciplinary Teaching and Research

Call for Papers

RAILS (Research Applications, Information and Library Studies) are very keen to receive submissions from practitioners for their 2017 conference. Details can be found at RAILS 2017 CFP.

In summary:

Many of today’s societal and economic challenges requires research and teaching efforts across disciplinary boundaries, which calls for new approaches and questions within information and library studies. Researchers, educators, practitioners and students are encouraged to submit papers on the conference theme, “Creating and Learning Together: interdisciplinary teaching and research”, which focuses on building partnerships between researchers, practitioners, doctoral students, and educators to ensure that a culture of interdisciplinary research and teaching is nurtured in the information studies field. We encourage all types of contributions including theoretical and evidence based. Papers focusing on strengthening research practices in the field will also be considered. Proposals with a focus on professional or continuing education and teaching will be allocated to the AIES 2017 component of the conference.
